College Highlights

Students can choose from a wide range of degree programs flexible enough to be tailored to their interests while providing the competitive edge needed to succeed in today’s global business environment. Our atmosphere encourages individual success and our innovative programs are revised as employers’ needs change.

  • All college programs are fully accredited by AACSB International, the premier accrediting body for business colleges.
  • The Risk Management Center provides our students with a lifelike financial laboratory (complete with stock ticker boards, extensive financial databases, Bloomberg terminals, computers, and computer software) to apply and extend the knowledge they have gained in the classroom.
  • Our internationally recognized faculty is committed to providing students with the best educational experience possible by sharing their talents, interests, knowledge, and vision in and out of the classroom.
  • Students have many opportunities to participate in research projects like the Tulsa Undergraduate Research Challenge (TURC)
  • Our Williams Student Services Center provides personalized academic advising and career guidance for business students.
  • Our low student-faculty ratio of 9-1 and small class sizes (on average 19 students per class) give students an incredible opportunity to work closely with professors and instructors in and out of the classroom.
  • All business students have opportunities to study abroad and participate in international study experiences. In addition, the college offers an undergraduate International Business and Language program.
  • The Student Investment Fund provides students with an opportunity to invest more than $5 million in real money in an environment similar to that of an investment management firm.
  • TU is one of only 11 institutions in the country with an American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) approved energy management major and energy minor to prepare students for careers in the energy industry.
  • Students may participate in a large variety of student organizations that supplement their coursework, while providing community service and professional networking opportunities.
  • All business students have an opportunity to compete in statewide, regional and national business plan competitions.
  • The Family-Owned Business Institute is the only resource center of its kind in the region. The institute offers programs to meet the needs of multi-generational family businesses and a specialized management degree focusing on family-owned business issues.
  • Friends of Finance is a professional organization that brings leading executives of national and international companies to the TU campus eight times per year to share their knowledge and explore important business issues. These luncheons are attended by an average of 400 business executives, faculty and students.
  • The college offers accelerated degree plans including a 3+3 B.S.B.A. and law degree which enables a student to complete both degrees in six years rather than seven, a 4+1 accounting undergraduate and master’s program which allows a student to complete both degrees and become eligible to take the CPA exam in five years and a 3+1.5 program which allows a student to complete a bachelor’s degree in a business discipline and a Master of Business Administration in four-and-a-half years.
