The primary mission of The University of Tulsa’s School of Accounting & Computer Information Systems (CIS) is to provide educational programs that prepare students for the role of business information professionals with expertise in analysis, reporting. Earn an accounting degree or CIS degree and translate complex information into critical knowledge for decision-making.
The accounting profession continues to change as accounting professionals embrace a new vision. In addition to traditional accounting topics, our program emphasizes leadership and communication skills, technology and a global perspective.
In addition to a strong liberal arts education foundation, we emphasize relevant and integrated knowledge of business, technology, systems and people to enable our graduates to solve problems and create solutions in a rapidly changing world. Our faculty strives to create a climate that motivates students to acquire both technical knowledge and transferable skills.
