2020-2021 Friends of Finance Board of Directors
The members of Friends of Finance (FOF), through electronic ballot, approved a slate of officers and directors for the 2020-2021 school year.

Executive Speaker Schedule
The 2020-21 Executive Speaker Series will be held virtually from 11:55 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with Q&A beginning by 12:45 p.m. Full, TU Student, and Non-TU Student Memberships will include access to all eight sessions. Members and guests will receive a unique link 24-48 hours prior to each presentation.

The Executive Speaker Series launches virtually on September 15, 2020, with Paul Savill who serves as the senior vice president of Core Network & Technology Solutions for CenturyLink. In this role, he sets the strategy and leads global product management, development and marketing for CenturyLink’s core networking services including Internet, Ethernet, Optical Networking, Private Line, Subsea, Dark Fiber, Professional Services, CDN, VYVX, and Colocation.

Paul has 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, over which he spent the first half in a variety of technical roles in network planning, engineering, operations and service delivery. He joined Level 3 Communications (now CenturyLink) in 2006 with the WilTel acquisition, where he was managing WilTel’s data, transport and customer portal services.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from The University of Tulsa.

Technology powered by Friends of Finance
The University of Tulsa has been working diligently through this pandemic to ensure the students, faculty, and staff remain safe as the new semester begins. Part of the university’s plan is a hyflex/hybrid model with in-person instruction conducted with reduced class sizes and online options for course delivery.

The Friends of Finance board approved a donation of over $100,000 to equip every classroom in Helmerich Hall with the technology necessary to provide hyflex/hybrid learning, thus reducing the strain on faculty and students. Our thanks go out to each one of you who have supported our Finance Excellence Fund over the years and who have attended our monthly Friends of Finance luncheons. Your contributions have made this major investment in infrastructure possible.
