Sheryl Chinowth to address Friends of Finance Sept. 14

Sheryl Chinowth, CEO and co-founder of Chinowth & Cohen Realtors, will address the first meeting of TU’s Friends of Finance 2017-18 executive speaker series at 11:30 a.m., Sept. 14 in the Student Union Great Hall.

Chinowth & Cohen Realtors opened in August 2004 with one office and 25 sales associates. Since that time, the brokerage has grown to over 425 associates and nine offices across the Tulsa area and Bartlesville, and ranks as one of Oklahoma’s largest real estate companies. For six consecutive years, Chinowth & Cohen Realtors was voted Best of the Best Real Estate Company in Tulsa by the readers of Oklahoma Magazine and was awarded “Best in the World Real Estate Company” by Tulsa World readers last year. Chinowth & Cohen is actively involved in Tulsa and surrounding communities.

Most recently, Chinowth was honored with the prestigious Extraordinary Philanthropist Award that is given to the Luxury Real Estate member who consistently displays altruistic concern for human welfare and generosity to socially responsible purposes. She also was recognized with the Tulsa Business Journal’s Influential Woman in Business Award in 2005, Tulsa World’s Top Women CEOs in 2012 and as a Power Broker by RisMedia.

Chinowth has given back to the community through her involvement with Junior League of Tulsa, the American Cancer Society, local hospitals, police departments, public schools, food banks, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and many other organizations. She currently serves on the Grievance Committee and the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Association of Realtors, the Realtors and Homebuilders Task force for the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa and on the Board of Directors for the HBA Charitable Foundation. Chinowth is a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors and was also a founding member of the Tulsa Executive Women’s Federation.
